Another recording from Swedish trading partner PEJ from one of our initial tape trades back in 1986.
Immediately after their heavily booted appearance at the Open Air Pop Festival in Aachen Germany on 1970-07-10 (“H-Bomb”, “Darker Than Blue”, “Space Vol. 1&2”, “Prisoners of Rock”, “Back to the Rock” etc.), Purple traveled to Munich for yet another festival show.
Euro-Pop ’70 was a 2 day festival that had Purple appearing on Day 2 along with Traffic, Free, Atomic Rooser, and Savoy Brown to name just a few of the bands on the bill that day.
Not sure if this is their entire setlist from the show as the recording is only ~ 60 minutes long but considering the large number of bands on the bill that day it very well might be.
PLEASE ENJOY THE MUSIC, WHILE YOU STILL CAN, BEFORE YOU'RE DEAD! AND WE'RE ALL DYING IN HERE, BUT YOU'RE NOT DEAD YET, BUT YOU WILL BE SOON AND AND WHAT GOOD WILL YOUR RECORDINGS BE THEN WHEN YOU'RE DEAD AND GONE AND YOU'RE NO LONGER HERE TO ENJOY THEM ANYMORE WITH ANYONE ELSE, SO LET'S NOT DIE WITHOUT SHARING OUR RECORDINGS...
