Here is an above average to very good audience recording of DEEP PURPLE on their FIREBALL world Tour in AUSTRIA.

This is DEEP PURPLE at their improvisational best.
These are some of the longest and best versions of these 4 songs live.
Back in this era Blackmore & Lord are the true "leaders" of the band and they display this with their musical bravado.
Blackmore's Guitar vibrato work at this point is beyond Henrix and Lord makes the Keyboards sound like a storm brewing on stage with all the "rumbling".
And of course Ian Gillan is in excellent form and on par with Robert Plant of the same era.
In fact DEEP PURPLE is likely the only band to ever scare the shit out of Zeppelin with their own streched out "over top" improvisations.

Enjoy another great recording from the "famous" VIENNA Taper.
