Took my youngest son along with me and we went downtown. Stopped off for a minute of silence and took some pictures by the makeshift memorial at the Stan Musial Statue outside of Busch Stadium and then headed to the Parking lot of the Old Rock House. Got there early and entertained ourselves playing games. Doors at 7 and show at 8. It had been a cold, overcast, rainy, sleeting sort of day. First ten or so in line, we paid for our tix and headed up to the balcony. First row against the rail. Our waitress Lo asked if we wanted drinks or something from the kitchen. Chicken wings, a couple of soft drinks and a generous tip and bam! $20. More Sudoku on the Nexus7 while we waited on the drinks, the wings and the show.

This little band first caught my ear on a late night talk show a few months ago. Since then I have been digging their you-tube vids and managed to download at least one live show. And the more I listened, the more I looked forward to seeing them live. And then last week my teenager says he wants to check out a show coming up at the Old Rock House. I checked the Old Rock House website and to my surprise I see Delta Rae is coming to town. Very nice. I enjoyed the show very much but it was hard to tape. The volume ranged from quiet quiets to loud louds and I didnt ever quite get the hang of where the settings on the Zoom should be. Especially for the last number. The band left the stage and then came back with wooden boxes and tin tubs or whatever they could find as an instrument and found a hole on the floor in the middle of the crowd and right there, surrounded by everyone, just proceeded to acapella us to the max. Very impressive. I know this band may not have enough followers to keep this post alive for awhile, the number of their fans is starting to grow quickly. I met some nice folks that expressed an interest in a copy of the show and Im now making arrangement to share it with them. If you know of other nice folks that might enjoy the show, please share it with them also. Please don't sell it, please support the musicians and please don't shop at Best Buy because I feel they ripped me off.

Brought to you in part by Hops Hopper the beerman, The Bugg and Smoked wings. Fresh dry rubbed wings with our homemade seasonings smoked just right. Served with house BBQ sauce on the side. Only $ 8.95

Enjoy the show and please leave a comment below.
Peace
