Notes to this show:
Hopefully this long explanation will explain any issues with this show. First, my original seats for this show were farther forward-the first six rows are AA-FF. Row A is raised up a little with a railing in front. Taping was only being allowed from the back left corner of the theater. I traded seats with someone else (thanks Gail!) and ran a semi-stealth tape-the security didn't seem to be paying much attention, but I wasn't taking chances. Hence the noise and missing seconds at the beginning of each set...I had to clamp the mics on and adjust the mic direction quickly as the lights went down (and there was no light to work with.) However, I thought this was worth it to get a tape from so close. During the second set there may be some loud noises-some idiot walked in during the second set, and was talking very loudly during many parts of the set, often during quiet parts, and screaming in between songs (i.e. if you hear someone saying "Sorry, Sorry" during d2t02 that's him coming into the row for the first time. He came in and out twice during a 50 minute set. Grrr. Also given that it was a hidden rig, and that many of the people in the crowd were music industry guests rather than Derek Trucks fans, the applause comes out pretty loud in the tape as well. But I thought it was worth putting this source out there at least for comparison's sake with the "tapers section" recordings. For what it's worth, I didn't see anyone else taping (except a couple of people with analog consumer Walkmans) besides the tapers' section.
Enjoy, I"ve done my best on this one!
