Dire Straits, Willie DeVille and Doc Pomus on the Robert Klein Radio Show (comic interviews) Airdate 1981-02-01 pre-fm mp3 sample

For no apparent reason: Welcome to my 275th torrent! ("Mrs. D." is going to have a heart attack!) Oh well... it must be an addiction (sob sob) it must be!!!

I thought I'd try something different. The Robert Klein Radio Show was a comic music/variety radio program that run during the early 1980's. Notice that I have to repeat myself... that must be another thing entirely...

Anyway the program had a great format. Mr. Klein is a noted American comedian. He would come out, do a short monologue and introduce guests. Depending upon how "on" he was, the interviews could be gut-splittingly funny. The night of this torrent was better than the one I just did (there I go again)... all the guests seem to be in peak form. The small sample I have provided isn't even the best bit in the show. For that you will have to listen.

The tracks are divided on where the commercial material was cut. It's been nicely faded in and out for the most part. This torrent will easily fit on one CD as the runtime is about 39 minutes.

Doc Pomus is one crazy guy also. He, Willie DeVille, and Dire Straits all get it on together in the last ten minutes or so.

Kick back, relax!

Setlist:
