Portland, OR.
July 7, 2007
Recorded from KBOO FM again this year. KBOO is an all volunteer radio station that has been broadcasting this festival for 20 years. There will be some inherrent reception problems and some drops in the music from time to time, but I have tried to "fix" all where possible.

Enjoy the tunes, twofthrs
New Orleans’ funkiest brass band delivers an irrepressible mix of traditional New Orleans jazz, funk, R&B and pop.
There is funk, then there is Funk, italicized and capitalized. For 30 years New Orleans’ Dirty Dozen Brass Band has been slipping backbones around the planet with second-line syncopation, Dixieland brass and religious fervor. This music used to be reserved for funerals and parades, before the Dozen took their fervent gospel on the road. They revitalized the New Orleans brass-band musical tradition in the 1970s, gaining national and international fame in the process. Their innovations include the introduction of supercharged rhythms and solo concepts, and zazzing up jazz standards with funky grooves.
The Dozen have appeared live and on record with a host of artists including David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Dr. John, the Black Crowes, Dave Matthews, Widespread Panic and Modest Mouse. New Orleans celebrates an official Dirty Dozen Brass Band Day. Portland will show them the same respect during a set that will likely be funkier than a three-day old Band-Aid.
No Set List. I need help with this one. I'm not familiar with this band.
