Return here to some really nice mid 80's stuff that kind of fell between the cracks of the conservative Wynton movement and the sometimes tough to take fusion of the era. Most of these guys were involved in Steps (Ahead) and had great pedigrees before and after that. This was around the time that the late, great Don Grolnick ( a fine player, composer, and arranger) released a lovely album featuring many of these same players called Hearts and Numbers. Find it if you can.
This may have been seeded here before, but isn't active now. Thanks to the original taper and the person who traded it to me a few years ago.
