Just bought a DR-05 to try my hand at field recording. Beautiful night at the location, just past the overhang of the roof. Dave Mason played before them and were followed by Journey. Since there was still daylight and security was patrolling heavilly, I stood and held the recorder in my fist and crossed my arms over my chest. Usually there was nobody in front of me, just 60 year olds passing around a standard concert "cigarette". Girls in the row behind me talked the entire night but i think i screened them out well enough that you can't hear them. Recording isn't spectacular using the internal mics (omnis), probably set the record level too low and due to seat location (little muddy) but it came out better then I was expecting. Vocals and guitars are decent. It was my first try at recording, tracking, etc so I'm not making any great claims about it.
Listen, use, convert, what ever, just enjoy.
