From the Blend Festival brochure:
--------------------------------
The Blend festival is delighted to
bring Dougie back to Stirling for the
fi rst time in nearly 10 years!
As undoubtedly one of Scotland’s
most successful, respected and
popular musicians, Dougie MacLean
is an all rounder; singer, songwriter,
composer and magical performer on
guitar and fiddle.
From his home base in Butterstone
near Dunkeld, MacLean tours the
world with his unique blend of
lyrical, ‘roots based’ songwriting and
instrumental composition.

Dougie’s songs are known and
performed by artists from all over
the world including Kathy Mattea,
Frankie Miller, Mary Black and
Delores Keane.
Caledonia, one of Dougie’s songs,
has become regarded as a modern
Scottish anthem.

The evening is going to be very
special indeed, with Dougie
performing solo in the first set and
then being joined by his full six piece
band for the second. The evening
will include many of his best-known
songs, along with highlights from
his wonderful new CD Inside the
Thunder.
