Rec. Info:
unknown lineaged (mono) audience recording, taped very close to the stage. Only a few chatters audible, a fair to good recording (for its age).
This cassette (TDK SA90) -> playback on NAK DR3 -> Olympus LS11 -> SD card (at WAV 16/44) -> HD -> WeTransfer -> my HD -> Audacity (edit/remaster) -> WAV 16/44 -> TLH8 -> Flac -> DIME ->
YOUR EARS AND MIND...and great balls of fire! Transfer by SEETHEFUZZ7. Iadded a tiny little bit of low end and - as the recorder (AIWA or Sony Walkman) had AGC (Automatic gain control)
I've lowered the volume of the audience noise by app. 5 db if possible, a bit less when the song (almost) segued into the next one. I think it sounds better after that surgery.

* stated as 1982/09/20 on the drfeelgood.de gigs site, but I'll stay to the date written on the tape.

Not really a classic DR.FEELGOOD show, but a vintage recording of a steamin' hot performance. 1982 was a transitional year for the band, as both John B. Sparks (bass) and John Martin (drums)
left the band, leaving Lee Brilleaux as the only remaining original member of the band. Instead of dissolving the band, Brilleaux decided to "order" new musicians to fill the void. The
then new rhythm section only lasted a few months until a more stable lineup would continue for the next years bringing that strraight sharp maximum rhythm and blues to the clubs.
My first introduction to this great band is quite funny: There was a very popular music/comedy WDR television show named "Plattenkueche" (Vinylkitchen) with superb comedians Helga Feddersen
and Frank Zander in the late 70's. They used to do parodies on charting songs and once there was a song by Frank Zander, dressed up as Count Dracula with a song called "Blut und Alkohol"
that really struck my mind as a kiddie, as of course the vampire needed "blood and alcohol" instead of "milk". Great video, great fun. Again, took me some more years, but I finally bought
the STUPIDITY album which I really enjoy still these days. Oh yeah, and I've caught'em only once live on their "Classic" tour 1988 at PC 69 in Bielefeld. Do I have to add that I remember
Lee Brilleaux smoking two packs of cigarettes during the show? Think he would hate the smoking restrictions nowadays.
Ok, I'll leave this silly memory talk cause it's time for some MAXIMUM RHYTHM AND BLUES! Enjoy! SB.
