This has been here before as an unknown gen tape from SEETHELIGHT7 collection # 400. It was a celebrational number I chose for that marvellous band. This is straight from the master,
tranfered in the best possible way by dear hanwaker. It's still a bit uneven in sound, but it DOES NOT HAVE the annoying warbles the other version had. Also, this tape runs about
a minute longer, which may result from the tape to tape recording process. I'm not the real expert to tell you which runs on the RIGHT speed, as it's just a few seconds on each track.
But for the simple grace of an enchanting evening with the DROOGS, you might replace the former tape with this one. You won't regret...
SPACEBANDIT'S NOTES FROM THE FORMER VERSION...
Alrighty, fellow Droogies, what better than to celebrate our # 400 posting from SEETHELIGHT7's marvellous collection with something quite rare. And something which I'm
totally freaking out about since I've seen that tape in the new box of tapes. Seen them on that tour at famous Forum in Enger, and I can remember the show very clearly, as
it was the one and only show I've ever been invited to the stage to sing with a professional band. Story goes like this...for encore time I was first row, demanding my then
favourite song "I want something" (from MAD DOG DREAMS), so I yelled the title to the band. Ric answered like "You want what?" So I answered "I don't know whatit is, babeeee!".
He just shook his head, gave me a hand and said..."So come up here, and sing it for us!". Ok, can't remember what was going on next (too surrealistic), but I still feel the shit
in my pants, being up on stage in a packed Forum (you know, my second home those daze), but somehow I made it. Glory memories from the days of wine and roses. Sigh!
Well, therefore you know, every Droogs Tape is something special to me. This band was one of the hottest attractions coming from the late 80's psychedelic underground of the USA,
up on top with the fabulous Dream Syndicate or Green on Red, Naked Prey, Shiva Burlesque, Red Temple Spirits (just to name a few).
Alrighty, let the Droogs speak/sing/play... Enjoy # 400 from us to yours... SB

This is also dedicated to the ROEHRE in Stuttgart, a worldwide known music club, which had to close earlier this month, given space for the new railway station of Stuttgart.
Another example about commercial interests destroying longtime cultural places. RIP Roehre. It's now really a zero house.

There's simply nothing I can add on this. LONG LIVE THE DROOGS! And now let's ROCK!
