Picked up Dwight's first record back 1985ish, and have given it many a casual spin since. Also picked up the whopping 87song mega collection box, Reprise Please Baby: The Warner Bros. Years and have listened all the way through just once. I always thought he would be fun to see live. When I had the chance to see him for free in practically my back yard, I simply couldn't pass it up. For me, there are certain charachteristics of his voice that make it interesting, and the influence of "old country" on him are unquestionalble- again, making it interesting for me.Besides, anyone that covers a Dave Alvin/Blasters song (sadly missing from this set) carries a certain bit of credibility with me.
