The EAGLES are playing at the Santa Monica civic auditorium and we have up close and center seats for all 3 nights.
For this set we were using Ron's new Sennheiser MKH406tu-3 microphones and the Sony D-5.
John normally kept the masters (we always used his equipment) but for this run we each got a master.
Tuesday is the night that I have and 30 years later am sharing with you.
The crowd was mostly quiet around us although some very loud claps were removed or muted.
A little talking in "Pretty Maids" as late comers were being seated by us (not too bad).
This tape catches the band as they were recording the "EAGLES LIVE" album.
Even though internal tensions were very high the band is in fine form and playing very good tonight.
Sorry but 2 of these tracks had to be omitted so as not to offer officially released material.
Where the songs were removed I have spliced the transitions together.
Many songs presented here do not even appear on the officially released live CD.
The sound quality is excellent and from the master cassettes.
I Just Loved the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.
Thanks to Sue for getting the tape deck into the show
(another Suzie sneeks recording).
