Total Time ::: 13:09
::: Non-hi-fi, distant but decent AUD, once acclimatized. Check samples for do's or don'ts, wills or won'ts.
::: Warts: Vocals somewhat low. Repaired dullspots & dropouts but surely missed a few.
::: Humble Pie concert with opening acts Edgar Winter's White Trash, Bell & Arc.
::: Apparently this taper only recored the last 20 minutes of the White Trash set.
::: This taper also taped 11mins of Humble Pie, an alternate capture to the circulating "official" boot full set version.
::: Believed to be the final New York City area gig by Edgar Winter's White Trash.
::: Edgar next appeared in NY with "The Edgar Winter Group" as an opening act in Central Park in July '72.
::: The "Roadwork" album is from NYC (Apollo Theater & Academy Of Music) & the Los Angeles Whisky A Go-Go.
::: Possibly the 1st time Johnny played out after Johnny Winter And broke up. Anyone know for sure?
::: It seems Johnny says something before "Rock & Roll, Hoochie Coo" about not having played for a while.
::: The "Roadwork" album has the now legendary Edgar intro, "People keep asking me, where's your brother?"
::: The Academy of Music changed it's name to The Palladium in 1976, then closed in 1997.
::: R.I.P. Bobby Ramirez: Stabbed to death 1972-07-24 in a bar fight in Chicago, IL at the age of 23.

DimeTravel 369 ::: Thanks to the original taper. Many thanks to the man who so kindly supplied me with my original tape & then a digital upgrade some 30 years later, The Florida Kid ::: Corrections welcome ::: Here are the missing bonus tracks from Edgar Winter's White Trash "Roadwork" album & just the ones you wanted to hear, the rest of the material with Johnny Winter. OK, they aren't anywhere near album quality, but after FORTY FIVE YEARS you finally get to hear the rest. Distant but more than serviceable once you acclimate - kinda fat sound with clear guitar, drums & bass. Crank it up, give this one a few minutes and you'll be a rockin'. Too bad the taper wasn't closer as the sound quality is actually pretty good & you can hear everything in the mix - except keyboards. I can't hear any on the album, either, but it's unlikely Edgar gave up the stage for the last 2 songs of his main set & the encore songs. Fiery form from Johnny, with a slamming version of "Jumpin' Jack Flash" - no hesitation! Edgar Winter was listed by the taper, but is inaudible if he's actually playing. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
