This is a recording of Eels' "radio performance debut" (as stated in the introduction). During several of the interview
segments the band is mentioned as being unsigned and still working to secure a release for their debut album.
"Novocaine" is mentioned as being played from a DAT tape, rather than being performed live in the studio. Most,
if not all, of the other songs are performed live by the band at KCRW's studios.
