The atrium of a cruise ship is never a good place to record. The only place worse is the pool deck in a wind storm. The "Centrum" on this ship is the smallest of the three that I have experienced. There was very little room in front of stage, and with its reflective surfaces and a ceiling approximately 9 floors above, the sound was dreadful. (Between some songs, you can even hear music from the pool stage filtering down.) I was in a bad position for this performance and the sound check was so boomy that I decided to activate the low-cut filter on my recorder for the first time in 4 years. This may have been overkill but it was a decision made on the fly by a sleep deprived person. In the end, after having skipped them on CTTE 2014, I was glad to be seeing Electric Asturias for the second time.
