Notes:
JEMS master recording. A very good sounding recording and excellent high energy performance this night. Unlike Elton's previous stop in Seattle in 1972(which JEMS also recorded) he was more in a rocker mode than the singer/songwriter mode for which he was famous for by this time. This show captures Elton touring in support of his Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player but the audience is treated to early renditions of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, All The Young Girls Love Alice and Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding from the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road double album that would be released about 3 weeks after this show took place. Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting was also from this album but released as a single back in July of this year. You can tell the audience is VERY familiar with the song by the time of this show.
