I went to this show last night with my brother and a couple of friends, and it was F#@&-ing awsome! This was a "one-off" solo show from his current tour with the band, and was a benefit for The Matthew Shepard Foundation. The Wells Fargo Theater is a 5,000 seat theater, with great seating and better acoustics. All the times I have seen Elton over the years, I have never seen a complete solo show (just Elton and Ray Cooper in 1994) and typically prefer him with his band. I now know why these shows are special, and a real treat. He had the entire crowd mesmerized with his incredible playing, which does get a bit overshadowed when the band is there. He is simply an amazing performer. I've included several pictures I took at the show as well.

This show is dedicated to my best friend, and concert buddy for the past 30 years, Bob. He passed away on December 27, 2010 after a very long battle with cancer and this was my first concert without him in decades, but I know he was there in spirit. Rock on buddy.

ENJOY!
