This show is my audiance recording. It ia also a recording for a DVD release that has never happened. Since this show, Pinetop Perkins and Smokey Smothers have both passed on. I take this opportunity to let this one out of my collection for the die hard blues fans who appreciate the music for what it is-- an American art form that is far too overlooked for it's value and enjoyment. The fact that Elvin Bishop and his band are playing this show in CLarksdale at Ground Zero (Morgan Freeman's blues club) speaks to the improtance of the place and the time, a time that is passing many of the blues legends into hisdtory at an alarming pace. Other shows I have put up on DIME lately include Willie Bug Eyes Smith and Hubert Sumlin, both which have died this year.

Anyway, you will hear references to the recording of the show but I hope this doesn't violate anyones ethics since, as I said, this show has never been released for sale on DVD or CD. This is the first daylight the show has seen to my knowledge.

The sound setup was a little strange to my ears but you hear it as it was played. The crowd was a typical bar crowd so some chatter is evident but the music is really good and the combination of performers together makes it something special. At least to me.
