Elvis Costello, two of the Attractions and John Ciambotti
April 19, 1978
State Theatre
Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A.
audience recording

my lineage: unknown generation TDK D cassette > Teac W-890R-B deck > RCA 3.5mm cable > Audacity > WAV > Sound Studio (track splitting/minor edits) > xACT (FLAC conversion)

the band:
- Steve Nieve - keyboards
- Pete Thomas - drums
- John Ciambotti - bass

This show is notable for being one of two with John Ciambotti, who played bass on My Aim Is True, filling in for Bruce Thomas, who injured his hand earlier in the month. (Nick Lowe filled in at several shows in the UK, while Ciambotti played only this show and the next night in Madison, which does not seem to have been recorded. Bruce returned in time for the April 21 show in Chicago.)

The novelty of the substitute bassist aside, it's a pretty rough recording and might be considered for completists only.
