Comments: It was a perfect NYC late Spring evening for an outdoor concert with clear skies, no humidity and a comfortable mid-70s temperature. The NYC fans were ready for the return of Elvis and the Attractions, who hadn't played together in NYC for almost 8 years. Before the reunion it was unclear if Elvis would ever play again with the Attractions. If you’re a fan of his late 1970s sound then think of it as a return to form -- raw sound, high energy, and plenty of guitar distortion. Elvis was clearly pumped for this show - just listen to way he emphasizes the phrase “I just wanna be your victim” in The Beat, the second song of the night.

Thanks to Bennet R for trading the aud version of this show with me (after my post to the Archival Group many many moons ago) when I had almost nothing to trade.
