comments:
this is a rather cheesy quality recording and likely not
the whole show, although considering the setlist in it,
this might be a "Compact Concert" from ELP here. could be
missing a tarkus and/or a barbarian, a couple of the songs
here have abrupt cuts in and out, but they're close to
complete songs.
this show is not listed in etree at all (only 1 listing
for Aug. 71 ELP) and I don't know the venue, only that
there is a live ELP shortage.
ELP's 1st live album was Pictures at an Exhibition, originally
a classical work of Mussorsky and recorded March 26, 1971 in
Newcastle City Hall, U.K. there is one earlier- the Isle of
Wight Fest from 1970 which is one of their 1st live performances,
but it was released in 1997, many years after Pictures. Live at the
Royal Albert Hall captures the 1992 Black Moon tour. there's
a "live in Poland" recorded and released in 1997, and their
"official bootleg series" (Anaheim 1974 is from the K.B.F.H.
and is not the same concert as the "Calif. Jam" concert also
carried on the KBFH) are all bootleg recordings released in 4
volumes of 7 or 8 discs per volume, including parts or all
