It's difficult for me to listen to this recording without getting angry: angry that my trusty recorder had failed a couple of weeks earlier; angry that I bought a different model that I thought would be an upgrade; angry that the internal microphone couldn't handle high SPL's like my previous deck; angry that the automatic level control on this unit was worthless; angry that manually controlling the levels yielded the same results; angry that it had already ruined two Pink Floyd recordings a few days earlier; angry by the hint of "what could have been" when listening to the quieter moments; almost angry enough to wish that this was one of my tapes that had gone missing. In the end, I suppose it's better to have than to have not, and in that spirit, I share it with you for the first time more than 37 years later.

P.S. The Panasonic deck was never used to record again.
