I was really looking forward to getting to this show, as it was very special to me. And it's been a while since I've uploaded one of my master recordings, so I was due.

ROAD TRIP !!!
For whatever reason, ELP chose to skip Denver/Colorado during the Spring 1993 tour and instead chose to play in a very intimate, state-of-the-art theater in the Albuquerque Convention Center. The Kiva Auditorium boasts a proscenium stage and half-round seating for 2,300 people (I snipped that from the Kiva website). Originally, when Kiva Auditorium opened, rock concerts were not allowed. I didn't know any of that at the time, and, as it turn out, this show was one of the first rock concerts to play at the Kiva.

So, me and three buddies, loaded into my car Saturday morning and headed to the show about 400 miles away. I was so excited about the show that I decided to upgrade my mics and this was the first show that I recorded with my brand new Sonic Studios DSM-6 mics that I still use today (but looking to upgrade soon). We got down to the show with no major issues, checked into our hotel (I think it was a Motel 6 - yikes), and headed to the show with plenty of time to spare. I was able to get "wired up" in a bathroom stall, and, for the next 2 hours, was having a wonderful time with ELP. I think my recording came out very, very nice. One of my best ever actually. It really made for a great time with the buddies. Good Times indeed. Sample included.

Disclaimer: I am sharing ELP shows here on TDD that I have not seen shared before. All of
these ELP shows were obtained well over 15 years in snail mail trades. I welcome any and all
upgrades that some of you may have. I am not a completist collector by any means, but rather
one who is looking for decent sound quality recordings to enjoy for many years to come.
