9-9.5/10 (excellent minus to excellent) IMHO, as always.
This is the ENTIRE concert.

CD 1 : 11 tracks, 52:51
CD 2 : 8 tracks, 52:33
TT : 105:24
Recorded from Section 206, Row C, Seat 15.

The taper and I attended this concert a little over 12 years ago.
The Rosemont Theatre is a beautiful state-of-the-art theatrical
venue in Rosemont, IL. The acoustics are virtually perfect, making
for some fantastic stealth recordings. This is one of them. Our seats
were in the center balcony, 3 rows from the front edge. Amazingly,
everyone around us was VERY quiet and showed ELP a lot of respect by
remaining so throughout the whole show. There is NO audience chatter.
I'm upping this to allow those of you who want audio only of this show
to have it. Presently, TTD features the video of this show. This audio,
however, is NOT from that video ; it is an independent effort. It's
most likely of better quality also. This is a virtually problem-free
recording. There's a tiny bit of hiss during the quieter portions of
some songs due to the analog nature of the recording and the first and
maybe second songs are almost as good as the rest of the show, due to
soundman tweaking. Otherwise I think that you'll love it. CMIIW, but I
think that this was the final tour of ELP ever ; I don't recall them
touring in the 2000s. Daryl Stuermer opened the concert. The recording
is fantastic and I can up that if there's any interest. I believe that
this was the last time that I ever saw ELP and it was an excellent way
to say goodbye. The boys (!) put on a fiery performance that night and
a wonderful time was had by all. All musical content is present due to
very lucky tape flips and a swap. You'll notice one flip but no music
was lost. Greg wishes somebody a Happy Birthday. There was AT LEAST one
other taper there that night so alternate version(s) could surface one
day. But until then, enjoy this one...That's about all that I have to
report so let's get this show on the road...

Finally, please don't buy, sell or convert this show to mp3 or
any other lossy format. Please seed this as long as you can.
Please trade this freely as it is uncirculated. This show will
be a welcome addition to any ELP fan's collection. I think that
ALL of you will really like this show and I will post a sample
to help some of you decide whether or not to download this. but
it's really unnecessary. If you were at this show, please share
your memories. One last thing : if you have Emerson, Lake and
Palmer, Civic Arena, Pittsburgh, PA, August 12, 1972, PLEASE PM
me. That was my first professional concert and also the first time
that I ever saw ELP. It's a Holy Grail show for me and a lot of
other people. So, as Mr. Natural keeps on and on and on saying,
have fun, don't freak out and enjoy the concert !

P.S. - If I misnamed any songs, please post corrections. I didn't
quite know where to separate FFTCM and Rondo, so I left them as
one file. If you know where to make the cut, please let the rest
of us know. TIA.
