Emmylou Harris and the Red Dirt Cowboys
Live at the Levitt Shell
Memphis, TN USA
September 22, 2012

Lineage: Zoom H2 (44.1 kHz, 16b)internal mics
Location: 100ft in front of right stack
Sound B+ with minor crowd chatter

This was my first time to see EmmyLou Harris even though I have often enjoyed her music over the years. This particular performance was a fundraiser for the Levitt Shell which is celebrating the 75th birthday this year. In a word the venue is "outstanding". The crowd of about 2,000 (my estimate), the perfect weather, the site, and (of course) EmmyLou Harris and Band provided a great evening of entertainment.

This venue runs a free concert series throughout the summer so if your ever in Memphis that time of year please check the Shell out--well worth the time.

EmmyLou was in fine voice and played for almost two hours. I hate to admit I did miss getting the single encore (Pancho and Lefty) as my battery was failing.

Enjoy!
