Wrecking Ball Redux. Amazing show, excellent band, nice venue, good recording! I missed part of the first song "Love Hurts" and it was plagued by some vicious feedback so I omitted it here. You would think the crowd in attendance would've been more focused on the performance and less so on chatting with one another about...anything. Unfortunately, this wasn't so...the audience chatter was the only real flaw one could find on this occasion. That and an occasional PA buzz from the right stack (the side I was on...). "Waltz Across Texas Tonight" was performed live for the first time ever at this show. As if this wasn't enough, Steve Earle appeared starting with "Goodbye" and stayed on for several songs. While the first portion of the show was described by Emmylou as a "warm-up", tracks 8-19 make up the Wrecking Ball portion of the show. Proceeds from this show went to benefit Crossroads Campus.
