Downloaded via DimeADozen in May 2005 (upped by neuthorduo). At the time, neuthorduo commented "exc- AUD recording, seeded at STG by myself and at EZT by melegar who also created the artwork". I've renamed all the files, added these comments to the info file, and created separate FFP & MD5 files [original flac fingerprints left above, for reference], but the FLAC files are unchanged otherwise.

neuthorduo provided this biographical information in the tracker comments, at the time:
Eric Bibb
Born in New York in 1951
Eric is the son 1960's folk and musical theatre singer, Leon Bibb. His uncle was the world-renowned jazz pianist,
John Lewis, of The Modern Jazz Quartet, and his godfather was singer/actor/activist Paul Robeson.
Eric was given his first steel guitar aged seven. Growing up surrounded by talent, Eric recalls a childhood
conversation with Bob Dylan, who, on the subject of guitar playing advised the 11-year-old Eric to "Keep it
simple, forget all that fancy stuff"

"Eric is one of the new, young singers that has appeared on the scene that, much to my delight, has a great voice,
is an excellent performer and has a great knowledge about the roots of this music" Taj Mahal

A performance by Eric Bibb is an enriching experience both musically and spiritually. Purveying a beautifully
realised and deftly accomplished, soulful and gospel infused, folk- blues, Eric has no problem melding a
traditional rootsy American style with a subtle contemporary sensibility. As one critic wrote " Eric's singing
and versatile guitar playing fuses a variety of genres to become a New World Blues".
