Here's a nice recording of Eric Burdon in Moncton. At about five to eight drummer Brannen Temple hurried on to the stage, still in his overcoat. He proceeded to exchange a cymbal
and adjust the height of the drums. It seemed a bit strange. I had the opportunity to speak with guitarist Billy Watts (from my hometown) after the show, and I asked him about it.
He said that Brannen Temple is going on tour with a jazz band immediately after the short tour with Eric Burdon is done. They played in Fredericton, NB on Tuesday (no, I didn't get to that one)
and then Mr. Temple had to fly to New York for rehearsals with the jazz band. He was supposed to be in Moncton by 2:30 on Thursday, but because of delays he barely made it.
I asked Mr. Watts what they would have done and he said the sound man filled in at the sound check and that he was good, but he didn`t know what they would do in the sound booth.
He also said that Eric Burdon was sick that Thursday and had a fever. You wouldn`t have known it; he put on a fine singing performance, although the few times he played the tambourine
or cowbell he seemed a bit lethargic and he didn`t bother getting near to a microphone.

Artwork is included. As always, comments are welcome.
