Geetarz Comments:
Warm up show for the epic 1974 tour. In my opinion this isn't a very listenable audience recording, but opinions vary - check it out and see for yourself.
There are debates about the date of this show. Many sources list the date as June 21. Other sources state June 20. The other sources have produced ticket stubs. Then people in the first group say the ticket stubs must be wrong.
As a historian, I have to lean toward the date on the ticket stubs. I am aware that concerts are postponed frequently, and mis-prints occur, but "first sources" always take precedence until and unless other documentation refutes them, and as of this writing I haven't seen anything (newpaper accounts, etc.) that would indicate any documented changes.
Comments from the EC Tours Website (ectours.de):
"When Eric appeared in Copenhagen, he had cut off his beard. Eric Clapton and his band were introduced by 'Legs' Larry Smith. Eric was drunk as a lord during this concert. On a tape you can hear him yell "Stockholm!!" He didn't even know where he was. From the speaking on the tape one can tell it's Danish. There is some confusion about the date of this Copenhagen show "
[The ectours.de site does contain a scan of the ticket stub]
