Geetarz Comments:

Not to be confused with the ROIO "Auburn Hills" (Bonanza - BONANZA 9405/96).

This appears to be an alternate capture from that used on the Bonanza release, and is less distant and louder.

This recording features a complete recording of the very beginning of the performance, where that featured on the Bonanza release fades in. However, this recording is missing the beginning of "After Midnight".

According to many sources, Stevie Ray Vaughan was in the audience at this show, and joined the band for a couple songs, to wit:

"Concert Details

Reproduced with the author's kind permission

I just wanted to give you some details about the 16-Sep-1988 concert held at the Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan (near Detroit, USA).

I was at the concert (third row seats) and can confirm that Stevie Ray Vaughan was in the audience. He had a concert the following evening at the Pine Knob amphitheater, located near the Palace. Near the end of his concert, Eric invited Stevie Ray up onto the stage, where the two performed together for one or two songs. Unfortunately, I do not rememeber which song(s) the two greats performed together.

I know that Eric and Stevie Ray toured together in 1990, but I have never seen any mention of the fact that the two had performed together prior to that time.
