Geetarz Comments:

Fingernails on a chalkboard.

Squeaky Styrofoam.

Cats mating.

Dental drills.

What do all these things have in common?

None of them are as annoying as the stupid woman (not the word I originally intended to use) sitting next to the taper who screams at the top of her lungs throughout the entire concert.

And what off-key, shrill shreiks these are.

Every time you begin to think "it's okay, she's stopped", she pops up again, somehow managing to ruin every single song performed that night.

This woman apprently has talent at ruining concerts, she is no rank amateur, she not only bellows during the applause in between songs, she manages to disrupt the quiet passages of songs like "Old Love" as well.

The high point of the evening, of course, is when she is joined by someone else (this has to be the boyfriend / signifigant other) who joins her by whistling in a tone not unlike that of a police whistle.

An entirely unmusical police whistle.

These two deserve each other.

But, if things don't work out for them, she could always seek out "The Mad Clapper" from the October 13, 1994 "blues tour" show in Hartford, Connecticut.

Were these two to mate, the resulting progeny would be able to disrupt any concert at will!

It's a shame, too, because EC and band put on a great show that night.

Peace & Love, and All That Hippie Shit ... but you should be able to punch people like this in the throat. Just sayin'.

Unfortunately, this recording is painful to listen to. If you plan to be that brave, I would recommend taking a handful of aspirin beforehand.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
