Eric's first US show of 2022 and the first of only 8 US shows scheduled for '22.
I had never seen EC, so this was a bucketlist of mine. He has always been my
mother's favorite artist, so I grew up on his music from the womb. I made a
decision over 10 years ago to see Eric if ever given the chance, but he did
not book anything in or around Columbus in that time. Funny, as he owns a home
in nearby Dublin, Ohio!

Earlier this year, he finally included Columbus along
with Chicago and some east coast cities on a short run. I jumped at a ticket
and made sure to get one in my favorite section at The Schottenstein, section
222. Its usually slighter cheaper than floor (in this case by $100+) and the
sound can be good to great from that section. I had a lot of whistlers and
clappers in 222 and during the acoustic set, they were at their worst. It didnt
help the acoustic set was at a much, much lower volume from the electric set,
so the crowd noise was much more obtrusive. I once again put iZotope RX7 to
work cleaning the audio the best I could and removing these whistles during
the music. The beginning of "Tears" was marred by whistles and it now sounds
great! "Layla" also needed a lot of work, but is much better sounding now, as
well.

I did not do much to the electric set, other than a touch of EQ and
balancing the channels. I did amplify some of the quieter numbers and then
normalized the entire wave. While its not a perfect recording by any stretch,
Im very happy with it and can cherish it for years down the road.

Eric began the show with an impromptu solo of "God Save The Queen" in remembrance
of Queen Elizabeth II, who passed earlier in the day. I wanted to dedicate this
recording to daspyknows and thank him for all the great EC recordings over
the years! One final note, I was reading that this marks the first performance
of "The Sky Is Crying" in 38 years!!! Last known performance was in 1984.
Crazy! Please share and turn it up!

Jimmie Vaughan opened [not recorded].
