Dear Mr. Fantasy

With BIG SCALE thanks to extra-generous Tim McCracken on etree I can now proudly and gratefully offer you Dr. Slowhand and Mr. Winwunderkind on their last date of their 2009 tour.

Quite astonishingly, this show his not made its rounds so far. The sound quality is really superb for an audience recording - well done, Tim! The set bears no surprises, it's simply packed with gems; I myself only miss their enchanting take of "Little Wing" which unfortunately was dropped along the tour after a few dates.

As the LA Times quite rightly put it, this tour was a "Fantasy becomes Reality" affair.

In comparison to their 2008 and 2009 shows, the original Blind Faith sounded somewhat"subdued" (for the lack of a better word, and IMsuperHO!), and I imagine the two's compination now finally yielded music as they originally had envisioned back in early 1969 - just speculating, of course, please don't whip me. Thank you.

Tim already made real nice covers with pix taken at The Bowl show; they only lacked the lineage and the usual disclaimers so I thought I'd try my very first real cover artwork for this show. I'm no grafix wizard, I just hope it turned out feasible. So _you_ must choose, now... :-)

Enjoy Big E and "Mr. Fantasy",
Th:-)mas
