OKM II K Studio -> A3 BB -> line-in jack of Sony PCM-M10 -> Sound Forge 9 (only to trim pre- and post-gig chatter)>BigDee (mastering)>Retracked>Foobar (volume increase on track 1)

Another 3 way effort, Sally attended and recorded, Big Dee cleaned up the files and I resplit/labelled/tagged. Many thanks to Sally & Big Dee.

Location: Dead center, row immediately in front of the sound board.

From Sally's Notes: This was a 450 seater venue and (IMO)very sadly Eric only attracted about 20 people. At the very beginning, Eric was not speaking into the mic, so it's very quiet.(I have boosted volume of Intro)

Sally would like this dedicated to Sylvia for all her generosity and uploads and I would like to thank Sylvia for pointing me in the direction of Eric Taylor's very fine music.

If you miss an opportunity to hear Eric Taylor in concert, says folk icon Nanci
Griffith, you have missed a chance to hear a voice I consider the William
Faulkner of songwriting in our current time. Eric is a master storyteller and
songwriter who grew up in Atlanta and migrated to Houston in the early 1970s,
where he learned intricate guitar licks from legends like Lightnin Hopkins,
Mance Lipscomb, and Mississippi Fred McDowell, and traded secrets with
contemporaries like Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Robert Earl Keen, Lyle
Lovett, and Steve Earle, as well as Nanci, who has recorded many of his
songs. He has appeared on Austin City Limits, Late Night with David
Letterman, Morning Edition, and Mountain Stage.
Eric recently released his ninth album, Studio 10, featuring nine new originals
and a cover of Tim Grimms Cover These Bones. The songs include tributes
to Erics friend Dave Van Ronk and to the writer and boxer Jim Tully
compositions that showcase the intricate narrative quality and unique theater
aspect of Eric's writing that set him apart, says the website No Depression.
The review goes on to praise his ability to bring the people in his songs to life:
you can feel the cold steel of a blade pressed against your throat, taste the
fire of the whiskey, smell the burnt powder that follows a gunshot, hear the
muted roll of dice across a table. Youre there. When Eric spins his
mesmerizing musical yarns, youll want to be there with him!
