In my concert season seeing Eric is always one of the highlights. I'm very proud to
be able to say that over the years we have come to know each other. Before the show we talked for
a while in private to catch up on things. Unfortunately it was mainly sad news. It made Eric very
emotional.

Loss and the grieve that comes with it was the central point of the show. Not that Eric
intended it this way on purpose, it just went this way.

Perhaps he talked more than in other years and perhaps he has become slower,
but he still has this magic to draw you into the story leading to a song.
I'd rather call Eric's talk "stories" in stead of "banter","chat" or "song intro".
They give you a look into his thoughts and adventures in life.

It was an intimate show in a lovely small theater in The Hague. About 80 seats, all taken.
Many members of the audience knew each other, so there was a lot of kissing, exchanging news etc.
In the end they had to kick us out.

For me Eric still is one the best singer-songwriters alive and a true legend.
