Blue Mikey > iPhone 3GS > Blue Fire Recording App
WAV tranfer to PC > Audacity to adjust gain > CD Wave to split > dbPowerAmp > flac
Recorded by DrFunkenstein

I had my iPhone w/Blue Mikey sitting on the pew next to me, and the sound came out ok, but seems to have
lost the high end and is very bass heavy. I'm not sure if this is a product of the placement (on a padded pew well
below ear level), the environment (sitting just under the balcony overhang), or the recorder itself (although
I suspect the placement). I adjusted the gain to bring up the volume throughout, but I did not mess with the
balance, as in my tests, doing so in audacity added too much hiss...so I just left it as is. There is some hiss where
I had to bring up the volume quite a bit during low talking/singing sections, but they are minimal.

On the track splits, I left the long talking sections between songs as part of the previous song, instead of cluttering
up the setlist with a lot of "talking here" and "talking there". Ernie does like to talk...but then again, he learned from
the master at it, his late father-in-law, George Younce.

I have front row seats to see Boston this summer, so I'll be recording it as well, but placement should not be an
issue (since I'll be on the front row).
