Can't recall which seeder it is, but there's someone who refers to "Dime Travel" in several of their uploads. I'm attempting the same sort of thing by uploading a taste of 2 consecutive nights at the Fillmore East-if you got there a little late! I'm doing that through upping recordings of Fairport Convention and Traffic at Fillmore East on 2 consecutive nights. The "late" part refers to the fact that Traffic headlined, Fairport was in the middle of the bill, and Mott the Hoople opened. I've never managed to hear recordings of the Mott set from Saturday, June 11th, but it does circulate. If you have that, please up it to "fill out the bill". The reality is that none of the recordings I'll share indicate whether they were the early or late show, and there were 2 shows each night.
The nights were a Friday and Saturday, June 10th and 11th. I know and remember this because the 14 year old me was taken to the early show on the 10th by my older brother. I'd just turned 14 less than a week before, so this might've been a birthday gift. In any event, thanks Charlie! This was an amazing experience for me. I'd been going to shows since seeing the Stones at MSG in November, 1969, followed by Tull at the Fillmore that December. What made this show so special (besides loving Traffic) and memorable is that I was a young bassist, and Dave Pegg absolutely floored me. What a player!. I still love him today, and he's still active with FC, who are actually doing the Full House album they're promoting here at the Fillmore this year, 2022, at their Cropredy Festival (delayed for its 50th anniversary by the pandemic).
This particular show is a soundboard. I got it years ago in a snail mail trade. It's the best sounding out of the 4 sets I'm intending to share. Huge thanks to the trader who made this available to me, and to whoever got a hold of this sbd.
Please support these musicians by purchasing their commercially released material, and by paying to see them live.
