The Festival Trombone All Stars
(Kai Winding)
Loosdrecht (The Netherlands)
8 August, 1972

Just a short one (and because of the Slide Hampton 2000 upload this morning): the Festival trombone All Stars under the leadership of Kai Winding at the International Jazz Festival Loosdrecht, the Netherlands, August 8, 1972. This was part of a Dutch in memoriam broadcast for Kai Winding in 1983; I kept the opening announcements by the late Michiel de Ruyter.

Unfortunately, I only have a few minutes of Walkin', which is much in the same vein as the classic version of Miles with J.J.; in fact, this particular broadcast had an even still shorter part of Walkin' (real end of the radio program), but I found another broadcast with a one minute or so longer version (but where my tape reel ran out of tape!) which I have used here.

(Anyone, having more of this particular concert, please up it here, or let me know!)

Enjoy!
