This came to me as 'Saloon, San Francisco, CA, October 1, 1988', but the announcer definitely says "Welcome to the Chi Chi Club" in track 1.
Barry says "first day of October 1988" before they start playing, so the date IS correct!

Notes:
- In set 1, track 3 Barry says that the band are too cheap to hire a support act, and anyway, this way they get the money the support act would have been given
- They intend to play the first set as if they were a bad support act, a country band, so that the audience wil be 'blown away' by the second set
- There's some 'taper chat' after a break at the end of the last track
Band:
Barry Melton - Guitar,Vocals
Peter Albin - Bass,Vocals
Spencer Dryden - Drums
John Cipollina - Guitars, Vocals
