Total Time ::: 16:44
::: Somewhat hurtin' quality, but one of the only live documents of its time. Check samples for tolerance assessment or instant injections.
::: Warts: Too many to note but worked on many mike bumps, etc. Hissy. 2 brief nasty cuts near end of #4.
::: August 30 & 31, Fleetwood Mac with Nick Pickett opening. Possibly an Early & Late show each night.
::: These shows were presumably the "Future Games" album release events in London.
::: "Future Games" was recorded June-August & released on 1971-09-03 & has been among my top 10 faves since the early 70s.
::: I would LOVE to hear these entire shows, not to mention tapes of live Nick Pickett.
::: If you can upgrade this, or offer more of the show(s), please take the time, or ask for assistance.
Recording Information ::: unknown recording equipment -> master tape -> unknown analog generations -> unknown generation Maxell XLII-90 cassette, Dolby B on.

DimeTravel 121 ::: Thanks to the original taper & traders! ::: Corrections welcome ::: I held out for a long time, but finally bit the CD bullet in the 80s & bought "Future Games" in that format - my first CD. I wasn't convinced; it sat on my shelf for almost 2 years before I bothered to purchase a CD player. Still never heard an upgrade or remaster of it in 30(!) years, but they'd probably f*ck it up anyway, give us some brickwalled, ear-burnin' frisbee. Still, some outtakes would be appreciated. What the hell? They exist. Many reels. The "Trinity" outtake was nice, as was the alternate of "Lay It All Down" on the box set, but the whole Welch era has been woefully ignored in general. Think the number I heard was about 200 reels of material from "Kiln House" to "Penguin" landed in record company hands in one go from Mac's old manager - not to mention what the record companies already had themselves. At any rate, this fragment of the show is quality impaired, but extremely fascinating. I love the floating, otherworldly feel of it all, from the wash of the little opening ditty to meandering feel of "Sometimes". The band's not trying to fill every space but let you swim in the inbetween. Even at this quality, chills up the spine. Not for the meek, for the diehards, but some WILL be happy. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yers truly, Knees
