::: Now a solid VG++ AUD, substantially improved. Check samples for toodle-oo or whoopee & oodles of joy.
::: Warts: Repaired dullspots & dropouts but surely missed a few. Some bonafide f'ing idiots yelling "Oh, Well", etc, loud&repeatedly, fortunately between songs (lowered where possible&tracked for avoidance possibility). Clapping in music in a few spots removed/lowered where possible (esp.#16). #19 fades in 3secs late (tapeflip).
::: COMPARISON CLAUSE: This is the Mk2 remaster of the original "Mk1" grplasa 2020-03-27 upload at www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=671988
::: This recording went from VG+ with a number of irritations to a very solid VG++ with very few distractions after remastering.
::: #22 unknown "blues" song, presumably by Welch which segues into "Rattlesnake Shake". Anyone know the title?
::: Triumvirat was the opening act for this concert.
::: "Heroes Are Hard To Find" USA tour 1974-10-02 to 1974-12-02 (43 shows).
::: "Heroes Are Hard To Find" recorded in Los Angeles July'74. Released 1974-09-13.
::: "Heroes Are Hard To Find" 1st FM LP to reach USA Top 40. #34 Billboard chart peak.
::: Bob Welch left Fleetwood Mac in December 1974, after this tour.
::: Small folder size due to only using better R channel of mono tape after remastering.
::: Mk1 seemed narrow stereo. L channel ~8000Hz, R ~12,000. Matched L high end to R & synched channels & it sounded mono. Therefore, after extensive remastering, & patching from L, used only superior R channel which dramatically stabilized & improved the sound.
Recording Information ::: unknown mono recorder/microphone -> master mono tape(s) -> ? -> unknown generation grplasa trade CD-R's -> DBPoweramp Rip (Accurate extraction with ID3 Tag Editing) -> TLH checksums & torrent.
Remastering 2020-04-xx ::: grplasa unknown generation flacs -> Audacity [normalisation to remove DC offset, channel/phase alignment, fades, manual one-at-a-time glitch, bump, clap, pop, click, dropout & dullspot repairs, volume adjustments, #01-16 +1.4%, #17-23 +2.2%, #24-26 +2.8% pitch (speed) fixes if necessary with single pass per segment after frequency analysis & with pitchpipe verification, NO equalisation (*except on split second mike bumps), no noise reduction] -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. (NOTE: AUD noise deleted: 1min@start (mike noises),1min before encore,3mins at end. ClipFix@97 applied to Rchan last 34mins as it was slightly oversaturated in tape transfer (but still superior to L channel). ONLY used R channel in fincal version, after patches). Freed 2020-04-xx.
Line-up ::: "Bob" Robert Lawrence Welch Jr. (†R.I.P.† 2012) - electric guitar, vocals // Christine Anne McVie (née Perfect) - keyboards, vocals // John Graham McVie - electric bass // "Mick" Michael John Kells Fleetwood - drums.
