comments:
this was first seeded in the spring of 2008. the setlist was almost nonexistent,
there were no sound samples and I misspelled Airto's last name. Not this time.
still don't know who the bassplayer was, but the setlist is complete now at least.
This is the 1st of 2 Flora auds I have to share from this time of year (actually
the other one from April 82 is 2 shows in 1 night, but more like one long show, all different songs).
Both are good quality auds, this has better fidelity, recorded with better mikes and deck.
It's complete except a few seconds missed near the end of track 10 (last track) for a
tape change.
If you get both my Flora uploads, they will fit on 4 80 min. CD's conveniently.
If you have 90 minute CD's or DAT tapes, they will fit on 3 of them. These songs
are mostly different than the 82 concert, and the band is different. (the 82 has Joe
Farrell). It's a fine show, Flora and the band are in upbeat mood (that seems the
usual for Flora in concert). I have a few radio shows of hers but one has a fair amount
of static, both of these are clean recordings without any problems so I'm going to share
the auds. If there is interest in any of my 4 Flora broadcasts, I will upload them (all
are from late 70's). If you are one of the many Flora fans out there, you will enjoy both
my Flora auds, which are both first time seeds from my master recordings, and nice
performances. A couple of these songs are sambas sung in Portugese. I suspect many
Brazilians will want to hear this (she is from Rio de Jeniero), as she is very
popular there. I think there may be one or two other players in the group for some parts
of this set. Flora always does at least 1 Corea song (usually early RTF), if you want
to hear her sing "500 miles high", I think she does one in the 82 show and a couple of
the broadcasts. The one she plays here is a good one too.
Do not sell this recording.
Trade freely, losslessly and gaplessly.
