For the First time ever, this tape sees the light of day for everyone to enjoy.
Which also included Billy Joel and Paul Simon. (both of which are actively seeding here)
This was recorded by the same 2 girls that taped Billy Joel later this afternoon.
The sound quality is somewhat distorted and muffled at times and there are people talking near the taper.
Though this is one of the few recordings with temp. replacement singer Johnny Edwards.
In July 1991, the new lineup of Foreigner played some European dates then made its official US debut on August 9 performing
on the second night of this Billy Joel benefit concert to raise funds for the preservation of Montauk Point Lighthouse.
For their 1991 tour, Jeff Jacobs, who'd played in Billy Joel's band, was brought in as the new keyboardist and Mark Rivera joined in on guitar.
During the fall leg of this tour, Elliott decided to leave the group. Larry Aberman was then recruited as a temporary replacement until
Mark Schulman arrived in 1992 to hold down the drum throne for the next three years.
Scott Gilman (guitar, sax, flute) joined the touring band in 1992 and Thom Gimbel took over from Gilman
and Mark Rivera in late 1992 after they departed.
When Thom Gimbel went to Aerosmith in 1993, Scott Gilman returned to handle the guitar/sax/flute duties
until Thom Gimbel came back permanently in the spring of 1995.
Lead Vocals - John Edwards (1990 - 1992)
Lead Guitar - Mick Jones (1976 - present)
Drums - Dennis Elliott (1976 - 1991)
Bass - Rick Willis (1980 - 1992)
Rythum Guitar - Mark Rivera (from Billy Joel's Band)
Keyboardist - Jeff Jacobs (from Billy Joel's Band)
There are no names mentioned during this concert, so i can't be 100% certian who is on Keys and 2nd guitar.
The names listed are likely correct. If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me on this.
Besides the quality being a bit sub par, the last track is cut off. The tape just runs out on my 1st gen copy.
It's possible that the master has more, but there's no way to know for sure. This is all that is avaiable.
