COMMENTS:

IMHO, Levi Stubbs was the greatest male vocalist of our time. His smooth baritone had such raw power, yet he seemed to sing so effortlessly. R.I.P. Levi Stubbs. You will surely be missed.

This concert includes the ORIGINAL FOUR TOPS lineup and they still sounded great. It is a short (casino restriction) but energetic show and the recording came out quite well. It includes the rarely played "Catfish" as the encore (by request). This show may seem like an odd choice to pay homage to Levi, because the band opens the show with a tribute to Marvin Gaye. Nevertheless, this is one of my favorite FOUR TOPS recordings.
