Description:

Seit 2014 stehen mit Frank Out! wieder 4 Original-Mitglieder der deutschen Zappa-Institution Sheik Yerbouti (1992 bis 2011) erfolgreich gemeinsam auf der Bühne. Unter anderem 2015 gemeinsam mit den Zappa-Alumni Robert „Bobby“ Martin (keys, vocals, sag, Zappa von 1981 bis 1988) und Albert Wing (sax, flute, 1988) zur Aufnahme der Live CD „Frank Out! – Zappa spielt für Bach“ und mit Napoleon Murphy Brock (vocals, sax, flute) 2015, 2022 und 2023.

Bandgründer Thomas Jung und Kai Rothfuchs (mit legendärem Gitarrensound und großem Zylinder) sind seit 1998 wieder gemeinsam am Start – eine denkwürdige Reunion. „Sweet“ George Rademacher Tone-Master und Stunt-Gitarrist der ersten Stunde sowie Drum-Charismatiker und langjährige Kreativbank hinter dem Drumset Marco Steffen sind dabei. Die ex-Sheik-Yerbouti Musiker konnten 2014 die Hunsrücker Bass-Institution Jürgen Kochler für sich gewinnen. Seit neuestem werden sie von Michael „Fritschi“ Fritsche am Gesang komplettiert. Fritsche ist als Drummer bei Scumbucket bekannt und Zappa-Kenner par excellence. Seine Stimme bringt ordentlich Charakter und rockig druckvollen Klang in die Band. In der aktuellen Besetzung hat die Band Ende 2020 und 2021 die Albumreihe „It Conquered The World Vol. 1 und 2“ veröffentlicht, die überwiegend live in Koblenz und Dresden aufgenommen wurden!

Frank Out! stehen weiterhin für ein Feuerwerk aus Zappa-Klassikern, treibenden Rocknummern und wilden Jazz-Improvisationen. Der schon berüchtigte zappaeske Humor und die Fähigkeit der Band Zappas Songs zeitgemäß zu interpretieren und weiterzuentwickeln werden auf der Bühne nicht zu kurz kommen.

Nicht umsonst urteilte die Mainzer Rhein-Zeitung: „Näher als Sheik Yerbouti kommt niemand an Zappa heran!“ „Frank Out!“ steht auch nach über 350 Auftritten für authentische, druckvolle und unterhaltsame Interpretationen von Zappas Werk. Frank Out! haben beides: Den Spirit und die Gitarre von Frank Zappa!

Since 2014, four original members of the German Zappa institution Sheik Yerbouti (1992 to 2011) have been successfully performing together on stage again with Frank Out! Among others, in 2015 together with Zappa alumni Robert "Bobby" Martin (keys, vocals, sag, Zappa from 1981 to 1988) and Albert Wing (sax, flute, 1988) for the recording of the live CD "Frank Out! - Zappa spielt für Bach" and with Napoleon Murphy Brock (vocals, sax, flute) in 2015, 2022 and 2023.

Band founder Thomas Jung and Kai Rothfuchs (with legendary guitar sound and big top hat) have been back together since 1998 - a memorable reunion. "Sweet" George Rademacher, tone master and stunt guitarist from the very beginning, and drum charismatic Marco Steffen, longtime creative bank behind the drumset, will also be there. The ex-Sheik-Yerbouti musicians were able to win over the Hunsrück bass institution Jürgen Kochler in 2014. They have recently been joined by Michael "Fritschi" Fritsche on vocals. Fritsche is known as the drummer for Scumbucket and is a Zappa connoisseur par excellence. His voice brings a lot of character and a powerful rock sound to the band. In the current line-up, the band released the album series "It Conquered The World Vol. 1 and 2" at the end of 2020 and 2021, most of which were recorded live in Koblenz and Dresden!

Frank Out! continue to stand for a firework display of Zappa classics, driving rock numbers and wild jazz improvisations. The already notorious Zappaesque humor and the band's ability to interpret and develop Zappa's songs in a contemporary way will not be neglected on stage.

It was not for nothing that the Mainzer Rhein-Zeitung judged: "Nobody comes closer to Zappa than Sheik Yerbouti!" Even after more than 350 performances, "Frank Out!" still stands for authentic, powerful and entertaining interpretations of Zappa's work. Frank Out! have both: the spirit and the guitar of Frank Zappa!
