Don't you just love uncirculated shows? A month after 1974 11 20, Audience Tape Guy sent us a raw file of the recording of the day before, taped once again by Doc West of 963XKE. This tape makes its premiere here, after having diligently speed checked and corrected by Flambay. Sound quality is slightly worse than the other show Audience Tape Guy shared with us partly because it seems that the tape is a bit damaged, resulting in flaws here and there and some slight warbles at the beginning and at the end of the tape (plus a brief section of "RDNZL" which seems to have been taped over). When those are not present it is, anyway, a perfectly enjoyable and good sounding recording. This is not all there is: somewhere there is a second cassette tape waiting to be found containing the rest of the show. Let's hope it will be located in the future and this seed updated.

After a slow start with some tune-up between songs, the show settles down to be one of the very good 1974 nights including some excellent guitar solos by Zappa. Since the setlist is a typical one, the highlights are predictable ("RDNZL", "Don't You Ever Wash That Thing", "Penguin in Bondage", "Stinkfoot"...) but, still, it's a highly enjoyable show with some very tight musicianship and, when the flaws are not present, quite good sound quality. Track #16 is the George Duke jam that supposedly led into "Dupree's Paradise" but it cuts out before the main theme, so I didn't label it that way.
