This show was requested a while ago by DesireVie who had the pleasure of attending it. Here's what he remembered about it:

Let's hope that this B/B- rendition will bring back some more good memories.

The set came a few years ago on 2 CDRs of total time of 112:27 and unkwnown lineage in a trade with TR. Judging from Yojimbo's response to my samples, this is likely a low generation tape transfer, though I believe this material had been worked on, possibly put together from more than one tape, as there are traces of fadeouts and crossfading. Speed was corrected according to flambay's suggestions (details below). Big thanks to him for doing this work! I also adjusted slightly levels between channels, which were in spots out of whack by 4 db. Level adjustments were done uniformly on whole chunks corresponding to sections of the tape between the flips, and so you will not hear them. You will hear, though, some level adjustments done earlier, either by the person who first edited this material or by the taper himself. Most notably, you will hear a shift in the "stereo" image somewhere in the middle of Truck Driver Divorce. The sound throughout can be best described as muddy, deteriorating toward the end, particularly in the encore part starting in Stinkfoot. The good news is that not much of the material is missing; a section of the guitar solo in The Black Page #2, a section of the guitar solo in Hot Plate Heaven at the Green Hotel, and a tiny gap at the very end Let's Move to Cleveland is all that is missing.

The secret word that night was Whale Bar. I have no idea what this is related to, but we do know that Whale Bars are regarded as groovy places to pick up girls while on the road, so this could be a referrence to an attempt of that nature. It's interesting that the first mention of whale bar occurs in Nig Biz, the song about the glitz of rock glamouring. Over the course of the show the secret word produces a fair amount of hilarity. "Let's move to Cleveland" becomes "don't eat the whale bar," and there are whale bars popping up in Penguin In Bondage ("she smells like a whale bar in bondage, boy") and Cosmik Debris. There are also, perhaps in conjunction with this, references to smells, bad smells of course as we would expect. One of the rarities on this tour, Stinkfoot, fits in like a glove here, and it's funny how it mutates into Stinkdick.
