Description (Jovel Music Hall):

Zwanzig Jahre nach seinem verfr�hten Tod am 4. Dezember 1993 ist ein halbes Dutzend seiner
ehemaligen Weggef�hrten zur�ck, um Frank Zappas multidimensionale Musik wieder authentisch
auf die B�hne zu bringen. Darunter der Mann, der am allerl�ngsten mit Zappa musiziert hat
(Ed Mann), zwei Leads�nger, die ebenfalls viele Jahre lang Franks grosse Wertsch�tzung genossen
(Bobby Martin und Ray White) sowie der K�nner, der gleich drei (!) Br�dern die T�r bei Zappa
ge�ffnet hat, ehe ihn Ray Charles f�r mehr als ein Jahrzehnt an Bord holte (Tom Fowler).

Als Band From Utopia � abgeleitet vom Zappa-Album Man From Utopia � waren sie auf Einladung
des in Deutschlands Fernsehstuben �bertragenen Stuttgart Jazz Open die Ersten, die nach dem
Hinschied des grossen Meisters seine Musik wieder live spielten. Jetzt nennen sie sich Banned
From Utopia, �berzeugen die Kenner und machen aus neugierigen Konzertbesuchern treue Zappa-Fans.
Die Musiker dieses hochkar�tigen Fusion-Ensembles sind auf unz�hligen Mothers- und Zappa-Platten
verewigt und werden daher auch Klassiker aus s�mtlichen Schaffensperioden des unerm�dlichen
Genies zum Besten geben. Von One Size Fits All, Over-Nite Sensation oder Apostrophe �ber Roxy
And Elsewhere, Bongo Fury, Zappa In New York und Sheik Yerbouti bis hin zu Joe�s Garage,
You Are What You Is oder Tinsel Town Rebellion.
