mgoldey's original notes:
Performed shortly after the release of Skydive, this was broadcast as part of WBCN's Jazz Week, which ran through Sunday, May 6, 1973. More info here, if you care to visit MIT in person: https://archivesspace.mit.edu/repositories/2/resources/885. This is just an hour of the performance, the part that was broadcast. There was more, but it's not clear how much more.

The recording suffered from occasional FM static, which came and went as if the tuner was drifting from the signal. Removing that static with the Ozone RX 7 Spectral De-Noise plugin also eliminated the analog tape hiss, and isn't my favorite thing to do. But the result is very clean and clear, and really didn't lose anything. Other snits and warts removed and repaired. The occasional "pop" may be a drum beat. Sometimes, I couldn't tell. It ain't perfect, but it's pretty darn good.

Goody's notes:
Additional static removal/reduction and click/pop removal in this updated edition in tracks 2 and 3. All tracks were slow/flat, now brought up to the correct speed/pitch.

The Quintet is introduced as:

Freddie Hubbard - Trumpet, Flugelhorn
Junior Cook - Tenor Sax
George Cables - Fender Rhodes
Kent Brinkley - Bass
Michael Carvin - Drums

Enjoy!
